cheap-thrill beach trip gone crazy!

destination: sigayan beach (laiya, san juan, batangas)

we prayed for good weather √
crossed my fingers for good company √

crew complete: nev, jon, frank and diane
gas √, coolant √, atf√, oil√, and tires√

and then, startollway, KM 74, the trooper starts chugging down..
we crawled till KM 78. took us almost 3 hours...

transmission failure.

then we gave up.
nev's uncle rescued and towed us to tambo, batangas
we left the trooper along caltex-ayala along laurel hi-way

nev's cousin anne was generous enough to lend us her car
travelled about 100k to laiya for a good 1hr.45 mins
texted my brother we're off to laiya (which came too late. apparently, the tow service has been deployed)
lunch, dip, frisbee throws, shower (all in 1hr.30mins )
then off to lipa again to meet the tow truck who has been waiting since 3ish.
got back to lipa around 530 with an impatient tow service-driver waiting demanding P300 for every hour spent waiting (heller! bakit hindi mo sinabi kanina when i called and checked on you?!)

manila by 830pm.
whew. stress.
boys, salamat ha! sorry again for messing the day!
wala sanang nadala!

contrary to my fear of the hounding confrontation....
when i got home, they were all in bed.
by friday (the next day), the animosity has already been diffused.


thanks mom! thanks kuya! thanks dad!

but i'm still waiting.
my dad can be like a ticking bomb waiting to explode.
i think i just pulled the pin more than half-way...
